Cluster IV: Molekularbiologie des Phosphors

Das übergeordnete Ziel ist es, die zentrale Rolle von P als Stoffwechsel-, Signal- und Regulationsmolekül von der molekularen bis zur Ökosystemebene zu entwirren. Die Aufnahme von P, seine Mobilisierung und Einbindung in verschiedenen Stoffwechselwegen umfasst vielfältige molekulare Mechanismen bei Mikroorganismen, Pflanzen und Tieren. Dabei spielt P auch eine Schlüsselrolle als Signalmolekül auf der Ebene von Ökosystemen, Organismen und Zellen. Die Projekte dieses Clusters zielen darauf ab, die molekularen Mechanismen zu analysieren, die mit der Aufnahme von P aus der Umwelt in den Organismus, der Verteilung, Speicherung und Mobilisierung von P in den Organismen und seine Rollen im Zellstoffwechsel sowie in der Interaktion von Mikroorganismen, Zellen und Geweben verbunden sind.
